Compatibility

All Lupine lamp heads, batteries and chargers are intercompatible. Old lamp systems can combine with state-of-the-art components using one uniform connector system and battery voltage that we introduced in 1993.

Versatility

The cables and connectors developed especially for Lupine are built for the merciless rigours of outdoor life. In particular, thick copper cables consisting of countless wires a hair’s width each ensure maximum flexibility and resistance to kinking. Polyurethane insulators are resistant to notching, while keeping their flexibility from temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C. To be on the safe side, Lupine supplies shrinking sleeves originally designed for use in armoured tanks for extra protection in more peaceable deployment.

Non-slip surface, leak resistance

The connector between the lamp and the power source needs special protection, and our connector casings in heavy-duty polyamide are equipped with covers in Santoprene™, an extremely hard-wearing and temperature-resistant non-slip material. The high level of flexibility in the material plays a key role, ensuring that the seals are still tight after many thousand connecting cycles.

Contacts

The silver-plated contacts are exclusively soldered to our cables to ensure electrical conductivity without power loss for currents reaching more than six amperes.
