It took a whole new reflector design to create a power pack like our Tesla that would work with just one LED. We developed our new hexagon reflector – named after its faceted shape – together with the famous UPT Optik development institute.

Revolutionary

A completely new, revolutionary manufacturing process was introduced for this new design. The facets were machined to a brilliant shine in an injection-moulding machine mounted with a milling head spinning at 120,000 rpm. The reflector itself is made of Ultem, a high-tech material developed for the space industry, using a high-precision injection moulding process. This extremely tough, temperature-resistant material is coated with 99% pure aluminium in the last stage of the process. Naturally, the production itself comes in quality Made in Germany. Usually, reflectors are stamped, punched or simple thermally sprayed aluminium reflectors, but our specialised manufacturing method turns each facet into a precision mirror in a wholly more efficient reflector. Our lenses and reflectors serve as a standard of reference for most manufacturers.
